Mike Bowcott is a leading figure in the pickleball community, recognized for his contributions as a player, coach, and innovator. A Gold Medalist at the 2023 Ontario Provincial Championships and the 2023 Pickleball Ontario Ambassador of the Year, Mike is dedicated to advancing the sport in York Region and beyond.

As an NCCP Level II Certified Instructor, Mike has taught over 750 players, helping them improve their skills and passion for pickleball. Known for his innovative teaching methods, he has developed engaging programs that combine on-court instruction, drills, and gameplay to ensure players of all skill levels grow and succeed.

Mike is the founder of the Richmond Hill Pickleball Club and Network, with over 2,200 members, and the York Region Pickleball Network, the largest network of players in North America on the Global Pickleball Network, boasting more than 2,500+ members. His primary mission is to increase pickleball opportunities across York Region by fostering inclusive programs and advocating for better facilities.

Mike founded Pickleball Partners, which offers consulting and advisory services to municipalities and private operators, assisting with program design, operational support, and facility management. Pickleball Partners also provides high-quality, affordable equipment, including paddles, balls, nets, and ball machines, ensuring players have the best resources to enjoy the game.
